Sam turned 2 on Sunday. He only cared about the cupcakes and his new trike. He has to fight Kate to ride on it! His siblings all wanted to "help" open his presents. I can't believe my baby is 2. Where did time go?
Sam's Top 5:
1) He will walk up to total strangers and hit them. It's his form of "hello".
2) He can yell louder than most adults and loves to yell "mom" at 7:00 AM.
3) He willingly lets his older sister dress him in tutus and put bows in his hair.
4) One of his first words---"FOOTBALL"
5) I have never seen a 2 year old so full of life!

Saturday + September + Georgia = FOOTBALL
We are right in the middle of football season. We love it even though it keeps us busy 3 nights during the week and all day on Saturday. Sam will point and say "football"---we start 'em young! Kate wears her cheerleader outfit every time she hears us mention football. Will always wants to know who is winning and likes to tell me that "the other team stinks".
I took this picture after Zane's game and right before we left for Jake's game. Both teams won so it was a great day!

Don't Bug Me
Here is Will...so proud of himself because he had a "happy face day" at school. They don't come as easily for him as they did for Jake & even Zane. He likes to wiggle & squirm way too much! He was wearing his brand-new pajamas that say "Don't Bug Me" on the front. Perfect for him because he says that all of the time to his little sister.

4 Down, 1 To Go!
4 Kids are all in school now! Yippee!!! Jake and Zane started at a new elementary school due to our 4-mile move. Jake is in 4th grade & Zane is in 2nd. Will started pre-k and he goes all day 5 days a week. Kate just started pre-school 3 mornings a week. Now if I could just find a program for my soon-to-be 2 year old who makes more of a mess than the other 4 combined...

Uncle Kevin comes to visit!

After 4 years in Georgia, we finally convinced Uncle Kevin to come visit. I conned him into coming by entering us in the Peachtree Road Race. It is the largest 10K in the world. It's run on the 4th of July through Atlanta and 55,000 enter every year. You have to send in for tickets as soon as the race opens because it fills in the first week. We had a blast running the race, even though it was hot & muggy! When we picked him up at the airport we did some sightseeing. We ate lunch at the Varsity and went to the World of Coke. We also headed to the CNN Center before he left 2 days later. We packed a lot into 2 days. It was a fun visit! Maybe we can get him here again before another 4 years goes by????

Texas, Part III
After we left the Pollocks, we headed to Dallas to see my family. Steve had to fly home the next day but the kids and I had a non-stop week of fun. We hit Six Flags, Amazing Jake's, The RoughRiders baseball game, grandpa's pool all weekend, the movies, and Hawaiian Harbor water park. That was a lot of places packed into a short stay! We also got to see some of my good friends from high school, Wendy & Jenny, and the kids all got to swim together. I think I was the only one ready to come home at the end of the trip!
This is Zane, Kate, & Sam trying to play Dance, Dance, Revolution at Amazing Jake's.
Grandpa & Jackson playing miniature golf at Amazing Jake's.
The boys playing laser tag!

Texas, Part II
OK..So I am way behind. This vacation was in June and it is now August and I haven't blogged about most of it yet. Where did time go????
After the reunion we headed to San Antonio with Steve's sister and her family & went to Sea World. That was one packed day of fun!
The next day we headed to New Braunfels to tube the river and trek to Schlitterbahn. The tubing was fun, even though Will & Zane complained that the slow, relaxing parts were boring. Those two are all about the excitement!
