Boo!
We did our annual Spooking on Wednesday night. Steve was gone so it was just me and the kids. Kate never quite understood what we were doing running around the neighborhood in the dark. Jackson, Zane, and Will ran fast and hid well so I think we were a success! Sam just wanted to eat the candy! :)

Mayfield Dairy
We took advantage of the day off from school and headed to Mayfield Dairy with our friends, the Petersens. We pretty much had the place to ourselves since it was only 70 degrees and overcast---not the best ice cream weather! The kids still had a great time, though.

Apple Farm Field Trip
We went to the Apple Farm with Will's preschool class for a field trip on Tuesday. We went on a hayride, picked apples from the orchard, watched them sort and wash the apples, found our way through the corn maze, sampled apple juice (yum) and dried apples (yuck), and had a picnic lunch.

Will's Birthday Party
In the grand tradition of stretching things out as long as possible, we had Will's birthday party on Friday, October 10th. He only invited a few friends. With 5 kids in the family, we don't need many more for a party! We had pizza, cake & ice cream, and jumped for a good 2 hours at Monkey Joe's!

Happy Birthday Will!
Holy Cow...I can't believe Will is 5! He enjoyed his birthday more than any kid I have ever met. He was all smiles from the time he woke up until he fell asleep that night. He had cupcakes twice---once at school and again at Jake's football practice. He chose Chick Fil-A for dinner and got to open his presents after school. His favorites were definitely the 2 new Wii games. He even sang "Happy Birthday" to himself all day long. That kid is a riot! He is also very excited for his party on Friday at Monkey Joe's.
Will's Top 5:
1) He has the most awesome blue eyes ever!
2) He waves at me while in the middle of performances at school or church
3) He talks like he is 12, not 5 (this stinks, that's so boring, she's obnoxious)
4) He mastered the Wii at age 4
5) He will do anything for a laugh!
Happy 5th Birthday Will!
